The compass measures maps in scales of both mm or inches and GPS scales 1:25,000 and 1:50,000, accompanied by a built in magnetic declination adjuster for permanent local adjustments. The Expedition S can also measure 1:40,000 and comes with a clinometer for measuring slope angle and 45 degree angle on the mirror sighting function which is essential in tough terrains.
