These packs contain the recommended quantities of materials to install in a medium size car. Some areas contain two stages of products as they use different materials and strategies to dampen sound and act as a decoupling material for heat.

 

Medium Car Pack Materials

Floor

Cover the front firewall to the base of the rear seat.

The floor pack contains Stage 1 Sound Deadener to reduce panel resonance. Applied to single layered sheet metal.

You then have the choice of:

Standard-

• Stage 2 - Acoustic Liner, a modern-day carpet underlay. It is a 6mm open cell foam with a 6mm waterproof foam as a top layer. Acoustic Liner is a peel and stick product and is applied to the Stage 1 Sound Deadener with carpet placed over the top.

Premium-

• Stage 2 - Mass Noise Liner is a premium dampening carpet underlay. It has a 10mm closed cell foam (waterproof) lower layer and a 2mm mass loaded vinyl top layer. It is a removable product.

 

Doors

Cover the outer door skin (sheet metal)

• Stage 1 Sound Deadener to reduce panel resonance. Applied to single layered sheet metal. Use foil tape from the Install Kit to border the sheets.

 

Roof

Cover the roof skin

• Stage 1 Sound Deadener to reduce panel resonance. Applied to single layered sheet metal. Use foil tape from the Install Kit to border the sheets.
• Stage 2 Insul-Layer, is a durable, 6mm closed cell foam and is an effective decoupling layer from heat and also softens cabin noise. Insul-Layer is a peel and stick product and is applied to the Stage 1 Sound Deadener with the roof liner over the top.

 

Boot

Cover the rear wheel arches, floor and rear quarter panels of the boot

The Boot Pack contains Stage 1 Sound Deadener to reduce panel resonance. Applied to single layered sheet metal.

Premium-

• Stage 2 Mass Noise Liner is a premium dampening carpet underlay. It is comprised of a closed cell (waterproof) lower layer and a 2mm mass loaded vinyl top layer. It is then templated to be customised to the boot shape, cut and placed on top of the sound deadener as a removable product.

 

Install Kit

The kit includes:

1 x Application roller - 50mm wide wooden wheel, rolling on sealed bearings. Comfortable timber handle which doubles as a tapered end to work sound deadener sheets into corrugations on your floor pan.

1 x Utility Knife - Fold away with quick change double sided blades. 5 x spare blades will surpass the install and make for a neat stock in your tool kit.

1 x Roll of performance Foil Tape - 38mm wide x 10 meters long. Our premium tape is 0.05mm thick, making it strong and robust to cover all joints and neatly complete the job. This tape is sure to come in handy for any build, in various places on your vehicle.

 

The above packs contain the recommend quantities for a standard medium car. In some areas Stage 1 does not cover 100% of the surface. Before applying the products please map out the material to ensure that you have an even spread across the allocated area. You may find that you have excess sheets in your pack, these can be used in areas where you feel more is required.
