The RV Electronics Breakaway Switch Mount 2.5" gives you and other road users an added level of protection while travelling some of the worlds harshest roads.

Currently, Breakaway Switches have been attached to points on the tow bar itself which can lead to the breakaway not functioning in an emergency situation due to tow bar failure.

The BSM attaches to the tow bar and to a non-towing point further forward to ensure the breakaway switch is always activated in an emergency detachment. 

This allows you to easily attach the breakaway switch pin to a convenient point next to your hitch without the worry of the breakaway not engaging when you need it most. 

If there is a tow bar failure, the BSM will disengage from its mounting bracket and use the forward attachment point to activate the breakaway system, bringing the towed vehicle to a stop in the shortest amount of time possible.

The BSM connects directly to the vehicle at one of 3 mount options: 

• Plug/Receiver mount
• Tow bar mount 2.5"
• Tow bar mount 4"
