Measure from the centre of one support arm to the centre of the other, not the fabric width. Check the top and bottom mounting points on your van for windows, doors, handles and hatches that the arms could block. Measure twice before ordering, as made-to-order awnings are non-refundable.
Usually not. The Dometic 8700, Carefree Fiesta and Sunburst Classic are the fabric and roller tube only, with the hardware kit or frameset sold separately to suit your wall style, such as full-height caravan or pop-top. The Fiamma F45 S and Thule 5200 are the exceptions, as those cassettes come complete with their arms and mounting brackets.
A roll-out awning stores the fabric on an exposed roller tube against the van wall, with a protective outer layer like Carefree's Weatherguard, and you pull it out by hand. A cassette awning like the Fiamma F45 S or Thule 5200 stores the fabric inside an enclosed aluminium case and winds out with a crank. Cassettes cost more but protect the fabric on the road.
