OZtrail
OZtrail has been building camping gear for the Australian market since 1994. Founded in Brisbane and still headquartered in Queensland, the brand knows what conditions local campers actually face: relentless UV, sudden downpours, red dust, and weekends where setup time is non-negotiable. That 30-year track record now spans 30 countries, but the focus has never shifted from gear that works in your backyard.
At Outback Equipment, we stock a huge variety of OZtrail gear across tents, gazebos, swags, lighting, furniture, and more, with delivery to every state and territory*.
Shelter that sets up in minutes, not hours
OZtrail's tent range covers every style of camper. Their Fast Frame tents are the standout for families who don't want to spend an hour on poles — a pre-attached frame system that pitches in under two minutes, with sizes from compact two-person through to multi-room cabin configurations. Multi-room dome and cabin tents give you separate sleeping and living areas, which matters when you're camped for more than a night or two with kids in tow.
For solo travellers, swags offer a no-fuss sleep setup. Roll out, zip up, done.
The OZtrail gazebo range handles everything from backyard events to exposed campsite setups. Solid steel and powder-coated aluminium frame options, most models include side walls, and sizes run from a standard 3x3m up to larger event configurations. Reinforced corner joints, heavy-duty zipper tracks, and sandbag anchor points mean the structure stays planted when the afternoon wind arrives.
Light up your campsite
OZtrail's camp lighting range covers everything from compact tent lanterns through to serious site-wide illumination. The Lumos Stadium Lantern throws 2,800 lumens from a 4m fibreglass pole — enough to light a full campsite without everyone eating dinner in shadows. It runs off 12V DC, so it pulls from your existing setup rather than eating through batteries.
For something more portable, the Lumos Rechargeable Lantern puts out 500 lumens on high and drops to a 30-lumen low setting that runs for up to 720 hours on a single charge — useful when you need light through the night without worrying about battery life. USB rechargeable via the included cable.
The 12V LED strip and bar kits are built for under-awning and gazebo use. Both white and amber bug-shield LEDs are included on each bar, extremely low power draw means you can run them all night off your auxiliary battery, and IP66-rated connectors keep them functional in wet conditions. The Mozzie Lantern adds a built-in bug zapper to the mix — useful on any site east of the ranges where the mozzies find you before you find your chair.
Built to handle the Australian outdoors
OZtrail gear is engineered for conditions that break cheaper equipment fast. On the shelter side, 300D polyester fabric handles sustained rain and resists UV degradation across multiple seasons. UVTex coating on selected products blocks 98% of UV radiation. PVC flooring on dome and cabin tents resists punctures from rocky ground, and taped seams stop water tracking through stitch holes overnight.
Beyond tents, the same durability thinking runs through the wider range. Camping chairs and furniture use heavy-gauge steel and reinforced connection points that hold up after years of regular folding and packing. Portable showers and hygiene accessories are built to travel in a dusty gear box without the fittings cracking after one trip. Zippers across the tent and swag range are heavy-gauge and designed to run cleanly even when dust has worked into the tracks.
More than shelter
OZtrail's range extends well beyond tents and gazebos. Stretchers and sleeping accessories keep you off the ground on harder sites. Portable showers, hammocks, and camp kitchen gear round out a full base camp setup for short weekenders or longer circuits.
