How Do Ratchet Rope Tie Downs Work?

A rope ratchet makes securing items simple. Hook one end to a solid anchor point, feed or position the rope as required, then pull the loose end to tighten. The ratchet mechanism grips the rope and locks it in place without needing knots.

To release the rope, press the release button and pull the rope back through the ratchet.

Can I Hook the Tie Down Back Onto Itself?

Yes. If you do not have a second anchor point, you can loop the rope around a suitable solid object and clip the hook back onto the rope. This can help when securing uneven or awkward items.
