Built in Australia, the new TAG Extreme Recovery (XR) Towbar has been engineered for professional trade and fleet applications and adventurous offroaders alike needing to get themselves and their convoy out of the most challenging recovery situations.

79 Series (08/2012 On):

• Can achieve a 4500kg/450kg towing capacity but require purchasing a higher rated hitch and Tow Ball (eg. UNTTBM450, 45969-85-70, 70mm Tow Ball). Please check your vehicle owners manual as additional pre-registration modifications are required to legally tow 4500kg.

Pre (08/2012) 79 and 75 Series:

• Bar is rated to 3500kg/350kg for these models due to chassis differences.

FAQ about the TAG XR Towbar

How strong are the recovery points?

Each point is load rated to 4500kg and built for real off-road use. They are fully welded into the side arms of the bar, not bolted on or cosmetic. The beveled edges also make them safe to use with soft shackles.

Does it come with a tow ball and hitch?

Yes. The bar includes a 50mm zinc tow ball, an extreme duty drop hitch, plus the pin, clip, and D-shackles. Everything you need is in the box unless you need a different sized ball for heavier towing setups.
