Our fire extinguishers are available in a range of sizes and capacities from a 1.0kg domestic/vehicle model through to the bigger 9.0kg units which are suitable for industrial & mining use. Powder or dry chemical extinguishers are effective in putting out or containing a large varierty of fires. They utilise a specially fluidised and siloconised mono ammonium phosphate. This chemically insulates Class A fires by melting at approximately 177°C and coating the surface to which it is applied. It smothers and breaks the chain reaction of Class B fires and will not conduct electricity back to the operator. Dry chemical fire extinguishers are the most appropriate choice for the home, office and workshop.
